Share Market Update: Sensex fell by 300 points, trading near 76,900, Nifty also fell by 100 points.

Business Desk – Share Market Update: A decline is being seen in the Indian stock market today i.e. on 19th August. Sensex is trading at 76,900 level after falling about 300 points. At the same time, there is a decline of about 100 points in Nifty and it is trading at the level of 24,050. There is heavy selling in metal and auto stocks in the market. Earlier on August 18 also, Sensex fell 493 points to 77,235 and Nifty fell 133 points to close at 24,155.

Shiprocket IPO listing at 35% premium

Shares of Shiprocket Limited had a strong listing today. The company's shares were listed at a premium of about 35% compared to the IPO price of Rs 97 per share. The share opened at Rs 131 on NSE, while it was listed at Rs 129.50 on BSE with a premium of 33.51%. In this way, investors who got shares in IPO got a profit of up to 35% along with the listing.

Gaza Alternative Asset Management's IPO opens today

The IPO of Gaza Alternative Asset Management has opened for subscription from today i.e. August 19. The company wants to raise Rs 550 crore through this IPO. Investors can bid for this issue till August 21.

Mixed business for Asian markets

Amidst the decline in the Indian market, mixed business is being seen in the Asian markets also. South Korea's Kospi is down 363 points or 5.56% at 6,491. Japan's Nikkei is trading at 65,724, down 1,736 points or 2.57%. At the same time, Hong Kong's Hang Seng is at 25,487 with a gain of 16 points or 0.15%.

American markets also closed with a decline

On August 18, American stock markets were also in decline. Dow Jones fell 116 points, or 0.22%, to close at 53,343. Nasdaq declined by 355 points or 1.33% and closed at 26,290. The S&P 500 also fell 53 points, or 0.69%, to close at 7,692.

FII sold shares worth Rs 886 crore in 7 days

Selling by foreign investors is also putting pressure on the market. According to available data, FII/FPI have sold shares worth Rs 886 crore in the last 7 days. However, in the last 30 days, FII/FPI purchases have been worth Rs 3,121 crore. At the same time, domestic institutional investors i.e. DII have made purchases worth Rs 2,579 crore in the recent data. DII purchases in the last 7 days were Rs 12,390 crore and in the last 30 days were Rs 37,447 crore.

The market had closed with a decline yesterday also

On August 18, the Sensex closed at 77,235 with a fall of 493 points. Nifty also fell 133 points and closed at 24,155. That is, before today's fall, the Indian stock market had been under pressure in the last trading session continuously.
