Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum: Dubai has declared 10 days of official mourning following the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, younger brother of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum passed away at the age of 76.

Sheikh Ahmed, deputy chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security, died on Monday, September 21, according to Gulf News. The ruler's court announced that a period of mourning would begin immediately, with flags flying at half-mast throughout the country.
Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, paid tribute to his younger brother in a post on Instagram and prayed for Allah's mercy and a place in heaven for him.
Sheikh Mohammed wrote, “May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. May Allah have mercy on you, my brother.” They said that even though Ahmed is no longer with them, he will always be in their prayers and hearts.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, also expressed condolences on the passing of his uncle and prayed for his forgiveness and Allah's mercy.
