The government has asked all print, electronic, online and social media platforms not to violate court orders. The government said in its statement issued late on Friday night that in the year 2024, the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) had banned the telecast of Sheikh Hasina’s statements. Apart from this, legal restrictions are also applicable in Bangladesh on broadcasting statements, interviews or audio-video messages of a person who has been convicted by the court and who is declared absconding. The government has asked media organizations to strictly follow all these instructions.

After this, the government issued a new warning to the media reminding them of the court orders. He said that if Sheikh Hasina returns home, the country should take full responsibility for her security.
