Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's The Vvaan brings an exciting update for their fans, as the film’s release date has been confirmed.
The folklore thriller will release on September 25, 2026, the makers confirmed on Saturday, putting to rest speculation about further delays following reports of reshoots and a change in the direction team.
Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures tweeted, “Stories have travelled from voices to pages, stages to screens… Yet one unforgettable story is about to be awakened #THEVVAAN in cinemas on 25th September, 2026.”
According to a Movie danger report, the film is being reshot and re-edited, with the original director Deepak Mishra, known for TVF shows like Permanent Roommates and Panchayat, reportedly replaced along with his team.
Sources say Niraj Kothari and Sahir Raza are now handling the edit under Ektaa Kapoor's direction.
Sidharth has reportedly given 17 additional days for reshoots, focused on reworking the climax and action sequences.
This isn’t the first time trouble around the project has surfaced, last year, reports suggested creative differences between Sidharth and Deepak had led to the director’s exit, though Deepak had denied it at the time.
The Vva also features Maniesh Paul in a key role.
