When the Women’s Reservation Bill has been passed by all parties in 2023, then the question of protest does not arise: Dimple Yadav
Women’s Reservation Bill: PM Narendra Modi on April 16 appealed to the opposition not to give any political color to the bills brought by the government to implement the Women’s Reservation Act. He also warned that they should keep in mind that those who had opposed this law in the past had suffered huge losses in the elections. However, Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav says that when the Women’s Reservation Bill has been passed by all the parties in 2023, then the question of protest does not arise.

Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav said, “If we keep talking about what should have been done 25-50 years ago, then how will we think about the future? Secondly, a narrative is being created that the opposition is against it. But this bill was already passed in 2023 with the support of all parties, so the question of opposition does not arise. Thirdly, the manner in which it was passed—before the process of delimitation.” Caste census should have been done; and reservation should have been implemented only after the delimitation. But the first question is, if the BJP wants.
Akhilesh raised questions in the house
On the first day of the special session of Parliament, there was a confrontation between the government and the opposition over the Women’s Reservation Bill and delimitation. During this time, the Constitution Amendment Bill to amend the reservation law for women was introduced in the Lok Sabha after division of votes. 251 votes were cast in favor of the bill, while 185 votes were cast against it. Earlier, SP President Akhilesh Yadav raised questions regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lok Sabha: Why is the government in a hurry with the Women’s Reservation Bill and why does it not want to conduct the census? Akhilesh said on Thursday, “Why is there a hurry regarding the Women’s (Reservation) Bill? We are in favor of the Women’s (Reservation) Bill.” Questioning the government, he said, “Why don’t you want to conduct the census? Mr. Speaker, you don’t want to conduct this census because as soon as the census is conducted, we all will ask for caste census. If there is a caste census, we will ask for reservation. That’s why you people want to bring it by cheating.”
