Sinjara Mahotsav in Moti Dungri: Gajanan was offered 3500 kg of Mehndi, crowd from outside states gathered in the hope of soon marriage.

The festival of Sinjara Mahotsav is being celebrated with unprecedented faith and enthusiasm in the adorable first revered Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple of Chhoti Kashi Jaipur. In this traditional festival organized just a day before Ganesh Chaturthi, 3500 kg of special henna was offered to Lord Gajanan. Due to viral reels on social media and miraculous beliefs, this time there was such a flood of faith in the temple that not only from Rajasthan, but also from Delhi, Haryana, Gurugram and Uttar Pradesh, young men and women reached Jaipur.

On the occasion of Sinjara festival, Lord Ganesha was decorated with royal splendor in Moti Dungri temple with golden crown, Naulakha necklace and supernatural attire. After offering 3500 kg of Mehndi to Bappa in the temple, it was distributed as Prasad among the devotees. It is a popular belief that by applying this proven mehendi on the hands, offered at the feet of the remover of obstacles, Moti Dungri, all the obstacles and defects coming in the way of marriage are removed and there are chances of the sound of Shehnai soon. With the help of this belief, devotees were seen standing in queues for hours waiting for their turn since late night.

Seeing the huge pressure and enthusiasm of the crowd, the police and administration remained on full alert mode. Strict barricading was done on JLN Marg and around the temple premises and every nook and corner was monitored with CCTV cameras, so that the devotees coming from far away places could easily get free Mehndi Prasad.
