The latest teaser giving a closer look at the exterior design of the updated Slavia has been shared on YouTube by Skoda India. It can be noted that at the front, the sedan will get a revised grille with more prominent chrome detailing. The headlamps are also expected to feature updated internal elements. Meanwhile, the bumper and fog lamp housings will be redesigned.
The updated front-end design is expected to give the Slavia a sharper appearance without changing its familiar overall shape. Some of the design elements could also be inspired by the recently updated Kushaq. On the profile, the changes will be more subtle. The latest teaser shows that the sedan will boast a set of new alloy wheels with a sporty multi-spoke pattern. The wheels are expected to continue with a 16-inch size.
Meanwhile, it has also been noted that it will get new chrome treatment around the window line. The overall side profile and dimensions will remain unchanged. At the rear, the Slavia facelift will get redesigned LED tail lamps. The basic shape of the units appears to be the same as the current model. However, the internal LED pattern has been revised to give the sedan a different look. The updated tail lamps are also expected to feature sequential turn indicators.
Skoda has not yet revealed the cabin of the Slavia facelift. However, the interior is expected to retain the existing dashboard layout with updates to the equipment, upholstery and trim materials. One of the major changes could be the addition of a larger infotainment touchscreen. The top variants are also expected to get a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
The facelift is also expected to continue offering features such as automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger. Skoda could also introduce the rear-seat massage function that was added to the updated Kushaq. However, this has not been confirmed yet.
Mechanically, the Slavia facelift is expected to remain unchanged. This means it will continue to be offered with the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0-litre TSI produces 115 bhp and 178 Nm, and it is currently available with a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
For the facelift, the automatic version is expected to get a new eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It will replace the existing six-speed automatic. Meanwhile, the larger 1.5-litre TSI engine will continue to produce 150 bhp and 250 Nm. It will remain paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift will officially launch in India on August 18. The updated sedan will most likely be slightly more expensive than the outgoing model, which currently starts at around Rs 10 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the facelifted Slavia will continue to compete with the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus.
