Big blow to the team before the series

However, India has suffered a major setback before the start of the series. Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has not fully recovered from his injury and has been ruled out of the series. Young Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Aaqib Nabi has been included in his place.

Aaqib Nabi has consistently performed well in domestic cricket. He has also become the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to be selected for the Indian Test team. Meanwhile, the fitness of young batsman Sai Sudarshan remains unclear. However, according to media reports, Sudarshan may be fit before the first Test and is expected to join the team by August 8th.
