However, today i.e. on 21st September Indian stock markets opened in the green with gains. At 9:15 am, Bombay Stock Market BSE Sensex opened at 74,535.18.

In today's data of 9:43 am, among 30 major companies, 26 shares were in the rise and only 4 were in the decline, that is, 26 out of 30 shares were in the green. UltraTech Cement +3.57% followed by Sun Pharma +2.32% and Asian Paints +2.25%. Apart from this, Indigo +1.75%, HCL Tech +1.64% and Trent +1.35% also remained strong.
In banking, HDFC was up 95%, Kotak Bank +1.14%, Axis Bank +0.63% and ICICI Bank +0.62%. Reliance +0.38%, TCS +0.49%, SBI +0.29% and Bajaj Finance +0.46% were also in the green. Infosys -1.74% was the weakest among the falling shares. After this, Adani Ports was down by -1.36%, Bharti Airtel was down by -0.96% and Power Grid was down by -0.89%.
Decline seen in IT stocks
On Monday, shares of Adani Ports started trading with a fall of 0.99 percent, Infosys 0.81 percent, Power Grid 0.74 percent, TCS 0.43 percent and Tech Mahindra 0.11 percent.
