All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday offered to join hands with the opposition parties to prevent the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from returning to power in the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Asaduddin Owaisi said his party will wait till October 2 before announcing any possible political alliance.
Asaduddin Owaisi, while addressing a public meeting at Babupurwa Eidgah ground in Cantonment area of Kanpur, said that AIMIM is ready to form an alliance with the parties willing to stop the BJP from forming the government again in Uttar Pradesh. He has accused Akhilesh Yadav of not working for Muslim voters by taking them. He too is cornering the Samajwadi Party on the lines of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

'We also do not want BJP government to be formed for the third time'
Asaduddin Owaisi said that his party also does not want the Bharatiya Janata Party to form the government in Uttar Pradesh for the third time. He said that if any party wants to stop BJP from forming the government again, then it should come forward and join hands with AIMIM. Asaduddin Owaisi also mentioned the proposal of AIMIM in Bihar. He said that his party had offered to contest elections on 6 seats in alliance in Bihar but instead false allegations were leveled against him.
Why is Owaisi cornering SP on the pretext of Muzaffarnagar riots?
Targeting Samajwadi Party, Asaduddin Owaisi asked people how many riots took place in Uttar Pradesh when Akhilesh Yadav came to power. After this, while referring to the riots that took place in Muzaffarnagar in 2013, he said that during that time about 50 thousand people were displaced from their homes and villages.
Asaduddin Owaisi also accused the governments of various political parties including Samajwadi Party of not solving the social, economic and educational problems of Muslims and not getting proper political representation.

Why is Akhilesh Yadav a villain for Muzaffarnagar riots?
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi believes that Akhilesh Yadav is responsible for the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots. Then there was Akhilesh Yadav's government in the state. A large number of Muslim families were reportedly displaced in that violence. Asuddin Owaisi has been saying that during that time the Samajwadi Party government neither stopped the violence on time nor helped the victims.
Asaduddin Owaisi says that during the tenure of Akhilesh Yadav, more than 50 thousand people became homeless, they had to live in refugee camps and were later displaced from there. He says that Akhilesh Yadav wants to take votes of Muslims but does not want to work for them.
Asaduddin Owaisi is presenting himself as a true advocate of Muslims. His eyes are on more than 143 assembly seats of UP. The Muslim population of the state is more than 20 percent. Asaduddin Owaisi has his eyes on this vote bank.

'Muslims need voice in Assembly'
Asaduddin Owaisi appealed to the voters to strengthen AIMIM's political presence in the state, saying that Muslims need a voice in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. He also criticized the actions of the Bharatiya Janata Party government regarding madrassas and mentioned the role of Muslim religious leaders and religious scholars in the freedom struggle. Asaduddin Owaisi, citing the history of Madrassas of Kanpur, claimed that during the independence movement, Muslim Ulama had issued a fatwa against the British.
