Bihar Student Protest: The anger of the students regarding competitive examinations and government recruitments in Bihar is now going to come out on the streets. After the student movements in Delhi and Ranchi, now the candidates have prepared to open a front in Patna. An indefinite strike is being started in Gardanibagh under the leadership of Bihar Student Union President and student leader Dilip Kumar. The movement has been named 'Student Justice Satyagraha'.
Candidates say that for a long time they have been getting only assurances regarding recruitment examinations and appointments, but concrete action is not being taken. The biggest issue is the notification of BPSC TRE-4. Candidates are continuously demanding release of recruitment advertisement.
Questions to the government on delay in TRE-4 notification
Student leader Dilip Kumar alleges that continuous assurances were given by the government and the education department regarding the release of notification of BPSC TRE-4, but till now the advertisement has not come out. This delay has become a major reason for resentment among the candidates.
Students say that the delay in the recruitment process is directly impacting the youth who have been preparing for government jobs for a long time. In such a situation, now they do not want assurance, but clear deadline and notification of recruitment.
Change in exam pattern also created controversy
Candidates have also raised questions regarding the exam pattern of BPSC TRE-4. Students say that earlier the process used to proceed only on the basis of preliminary examination, whereas now the main examination is also being included.
Dilip Kumar says that if the exam pattern is to be changed then instead of implementing it from TRE-4, it should be implemented from TRE-5, so that the candidates who have prepared keeping the old pattern in mind, do not have to face sudden changes.
Simultaneous movement for several demands
The demand of the candidates is not limited to TRE-4 only. Their major demands include release of advertisement of BPSC TRE-4, demand for resignation of Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari, declaration of BSSC exam date, reinstatement of librarian, ensuring transparency in competitive examinations including BET and Inspector-constable recruitment. Student leaders have made it clear that if the government does not take concrete steps on their demands, the movement will be further expanded.
Lalu and Tejashwi are also cornering the government on the issue of students.
Amidst this movement, RJD chief Lalu Prasad has also appealed to the students to unite in Patna on August 19. He has targeted the government by raising issues like paper leak, education system, recruitment process and unemployment.
The entire student-youth force is suffering from paper leaks, poor education system, biased recruitment process and unemployment.
Instead of listening to their democratic demands, the arrogant government formed by the plunder system opens fire with AK-47s, this is unjust. Everyone will protest against this dictatorship in Patna on 19th August.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has also announced to take out a march in Patna on August 19. According to him, a march will be taken out from the party headquarters to Lok Bhavan, in which RJD MPs, MLAs, MLCs and workers will participate.
Now the biggest challenge before the government
The students' movement in Patna is starting at a time when questions are being raised before the government regarding recruitment and competitive examinations. The demands of the candidates are no longer limited to mere assurances. They want a clear decision regarding notification, exam date and recruitment process.
In such a situation, the 'Student Justice Satyagraha' starting from Gardanibagh can become an important political and administrative challenge for the Emperor's government. Now it has to be seen whether the government talks on the demands of the students or any major decision is taken after the movement progresses.
