The name of the intern doctor is Sudeshna Mandal, whose Instagram account is private, but many screenshots of her stories are going viral on X. In these, he was shown sitting with a patient after delivery. In another picture, she was seen with the face of a newborn child.
Is it a crime to do so?
What Sudeshna Mandal has done is a violation of Section 66E of the Information Technology Act, 2000, i.e. privacy. According to this section, there is a provision of punishment for taking, publishing or sharing photographs of a person’s private parts without his consent.

When the screenshots of Sudeshna Mandal went viral, many X users got angry at her. Users were advised to follow medical ethics guidelines, which prohibit doctors from sharing photographs of patients on social media that could reveal their identity.
