Neeru Dhanda gave a historic performance in shooting and won the gold medal. Whereas, Manisha Keer won the silver medal for the country in the team event.
Neeru Dhanda won gold
Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy’s talented shooter Neeru Dhanda won gold for India by performing brilliantly in the women’s individual trap event. By scoring 28 points in the final, Neeru not only won the gold medal but also recorded a new Asian record. She has become the first individual gold player for India to win this event. Apart from this, the pair of Neeru and Kainan Darius Chenai have created history by winning gold for India in the trap mixed team event.
Manisha Keer won silver in team event
At the same time, in the women’s trap team event, Manisha Keer along with Neeru Dhanda and Ashima Ahlawat won the silver medal for India by scoring a total of 328 points.
