The Indian team is facing increasing problems for its star batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who won the T20 World Cup under his captaincy this year. After being out of Team India, Suryakumar Yadav has not got a place even in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy team. He had expressed his availability by writing a letter to the selectors, yet the selectors have ignored him. According to the report of Cricbuzz, the selection committee of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the team for the upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Chandigarh, in which Suryakumar's name is not included.
Shardul Thakur is also out, Siddesh Lad will take over the captaincy
Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, fast bowler Shardul Thakur will also not be seen in this Mumbai team, who is currently recovering from a finger injury. The captaincy of the team has been handed over to Siddhesh Lad for the match against Chandigarh. At the same time, young batsman Ayush Mhatre, who made India win the Under-19 World Cup earlier this year under his captaincy, has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is playing international cricket, has also been included in this squad so that he can strengthen his preparations for the upcoming New Zealand tour.
Sarfaraz and Musheer Khan also got a chance
The selectors have given place to many well-known players while maintaining balance in the team. Both star batsman Sarfaraz Khan and his brother Mushir Khan have been included in the squad. Apart from this, all-rounders Shams Mulani, Tushar Deshpande and Tanush Kotian are also part of this strong Ranji team of Mumbai.
