Kolkata: After the formation of the new government in West Bengal, changes are being seen in many decisions of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In this context, the state government has taken a big decision regarding Bakrid holidays. According to the information, according to the new order issued by the government, now there will be a public holiday on the occasion of Bakrid on May 28, due to which people will be able to celebrate this festival peacefully. Let us tell you, earlier during the Mamata Banerjee government, holiday was also declared on 26th and 27th May, but the new government has amended it.
What did the government say?
In the notification issued by the government, it has been said that on May 26 and 27, all government offices, institutions and other departments of the state will remain open normally. After this decision of the government, a stir has started among the government officials. This is because the new government is continuously making changes in many decisions of the previous Trinamool Congress government.
Along with this, the recent removal of a statue installed in Salt Lake Stadium during the tenure of Mamata government is also being seen in the same sequence. State Sports Minister Nishith Pramanik has also supported this action.
Suvendu Adhikari said attack
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari launched a scathing attack on the former government and said that the image of West Bengal has been damaged due to recruitment scams and irregularities. He alleged that due to irregularities during the previous government, the courts had to intervene, due to which the jobs of about 26 thousand teachers were cancelled. The Chief Minister said that his government is going to bring a new recruitment policy in the next budget session.
He said that under the new policy, to increase transparency in recruitment examinations, a copy of the OMR sheet will be provided to the candidates immediately after the examination. The Chief Minister said that not having this system in place till now was a serious negligence and it encouraged corruption. But this will not happen now.
Said this about reservation
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari also alleged that the previous government did not properly follow the ‘100 point roster’ implemented under the reservation system. He said that the new government will make comprehensive reforms to make the recruitment process transparent and fair so that the confidence of the youth can be restored.
