Shuvendu will become the official of Bengal tomorrow, will take oath as Chief Minister at 11 am, elected leader of the legislative party.

Kolkata. The final decision regarding the name of the new Chief Minister of the state has been taken during the meeting of the BJP Legislature Party in West Bengal on Friday. In the meeting, senior BJP leader Shuvendu Adhikari was elected the leader of the legislature party. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was present in this important meeting as a central observer. During the meeting, BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya proposed the name of Suvendu Adhikari. After this, consent was taken from all the BJP MLAs present, after which his name was formally approved.

Shuvendu Adhikari will take oath as Chief Minister on May 9 at 11 am at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. 9th May is a very special day for Bengal, because Rabindra Jayanti is celebrated on this day. On this auspicious occasion, the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government of the state will be organized, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers of many states including Amit Shah. There is talk of making two Deputy CMs along with Suvendu Adhikari, who defeated Mamata Banerjee in Bhawanipur, due to which new political equations can be seen in the state.

Bengal Governor RN Ravi has dissolved the state assembly on May 7. Citing the official notification issued in the Kolkata Gazette, it has been said that this step of dissolving the assembly has been taken after the spectacular victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the West Bengal Assembly elections.
