New Aerodynamic Design Inspired by Hayabusa

The look of this new generation GSX250R, which has been launched in the Chinese market, matches well with Suzuki’s legendary superbike Hayabusa. The company has completely redesigned its front fascia, adding a brand new LED headlight and a more aggressive looking front fairing. Additionally, the old large front indicators have been replaced with smaller, sleeker winglets, which help improve the bike’s balance at high speed.

Engine Capacity and Mechanical Features

Talking about mechanical changes, the existing 248cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine has been retained in the bike. This engine is known for smooth power delivery. However, according to Chinese media reports, its top speed and riding stability have become better than before due to new aerodynamic changes and use of lightweight components. The bike comes with dual-channel ABS and modern safety features like assist and slipper clutch as standard.

Expert opinion and official position

“The design of the new GSX250R is likely to appeal to the Indian youth. If Suzuki brings it to India at the right price, it will give a tough competition to the entry-level bikes from KTM and Kawasaki.”

Impact on the Indian market and what is Suzuki’s plan?

Suzuki’s Gixxer SF 250 is already sold with a single-cylinder engine in the Indian market. The GSX250R launched in China comes with a parallel-twin engine, which makes it more premium and smooth. Indian auto enthusiasts have been demanding an affordable twin-cylinder bike for a long time. Although the company has not yet announced any official timeline regarding its launch date in India, but there is full expectation of a big announcement regarding its global variant around the Auto Expo and festive season.
