Tanushree Dutta Nana Patekar Death: Her Reaction

Actress Tanushree Dutta has addressed the passing of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who died at 75 following a cardiac arrest.

The development has drawn significant public attention given their complex history; back in 2018, Tanushree’s allegations of sexual harassment against Patekar on the sets of the 2009 film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss served as a major catalyst for India’s #MeToo movement.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Tanushree posted updates about travelling to Lucknow for a professional event alongside a spiritual note.

Addressing the news directly in a video, she remarked, “Maine suna hai, I have heard the news. I just… today is my workday. I am going to Lucknow for an event. And I want to focus on that. What an odd day for all this to happen.”

Expressing concern that media focus would shift entirely from her scheduled content to the day’s tragic headlines, she added that she was still processing how to feel. “So, I will give my reaction once I figure out what kind of reaction I should have. So, definitely condolences to the family, but…” she shared before cutting off.

While the legal proceedings concerning her 2018 allegations concluded after a Mumbai court dismissed the case due to limitation timelines, Tanushree’s measured response continues to capture widespread public and media interest.
