A TSSP constable was allegedly assaulted by a civil police constable and two civilians outside a Warangal bar after a drunken altercation. The viral video prompted police action, with the injured constable booked for obstructing duty.

Warangal: In an incident that came to light lately a constable attached to TSSP 4th Battalion, Mamnoor Lines in Warangal was beaten black and blue by a civil police constable along with two civilians.
According to sources, the TSSP constable, Manoj, under the influence of alcohol, was said to have created nuisance while paying the bill at Kalinga bar and restaurant located at Urs Gutta under the limits of Mills Colony police station during late night hours on August 19.
After the bar and restaurant staff called police, a beat constable Santhosh Reddy arrived at the spot and told Manoj to put on his shirt as he was moving around half-nakedly. Despite being repeatedly asked to wear the shirt he did not oblige; then the constable slaps Manoj on the face and he responds by hitting back the constable.
Following that Santhosh Reddy started beating Manoj with his lathi while two others joined him with one of them hitting Manoj with a stick and the other punching him. This continued for a few minutes, even as Manoj tried to leave the place and one of his colleagues tried to stop the trio from beating him.
A video clipping of the incident went viral on social media on Saturday. As the incident came to the notice of higher officials, Manoj was booked by Mills Colony police on the charges of obstructing an on-duty constable from discharging duties and for creating nuisance. A notice was said to have been issued to Manoj.
