Tension increased in the Middle East, after the death of two American soldiers in Jordan, America again bombed Iran.

New Delhi: The ongoing tension between America and Iran has once again reached a dangerous point. In the early hours of Sunday, the US Army carried out new air strikes on several Iranian targets, deepening the conflict between the two countries. Just hours before these attacks, two American soldiers were killed during Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks in Jordan. After this incident, security concerns have increased in the entire region and the situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly serious.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), this military operation was conducted on the instructions of President Donald Trump. The US Army says that the main objective of the action was to weaken Iran’s military capability, due to which it could pose a threat to international merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, bases belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is considered responsible for the attack on American soldiers in Jordan, were also targeted. American officials say that this action was necessary to maintain security in the area.

Two soldiers killed in Jordan attack

CENTCOM informed that two American soldiers lost their lives in the attack in Jordan, while another military personnel is still missing. Apart from this, four soldiers were injured, who have been discharged from the hospital after treatment. The US Army said that the identity of the dead soldiers will not be made public at this time. First their families will be officially informed, only then the names will be released.

Defense Secretary expressed strong stance

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expressed grief over the death of the soldiers and said that America’s resolve has been strengthened by this incident. He said that the sacrifice of the soldiers who lost their lives will not go in vain and America will continue to take every necessary step for its interests and the safety of its soldiers. He also indicated that if attacks on American targets continue, further strict military action may be taken.

Which areas were targeted in Iran?

According to Iranian media reports, the US military conducted air strikes in the areas around Sirik port in southern Iran. Apart from this, news of military action has also come to light near Hajiabad. However, according to initial information, there has been no official confirmation of anyone being killed or major damage caused in these attacks. The Iranian administration has also not made public detailed information in this regard.

Iran gave strict warning

After the American attacks, Iran has also toughened its stance. Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei said that America and its allies will soon get a reply that they will remember for a long time. He accused America of not following the agreements made between the two countries and said that Washington’s policies cannot be trusted. Iran says that if attacks on it continue, it will also intensify retaliatory action.

Strait of Hormuz becomes center of tension

The most important center of the current dispute is the Strait of Hormuz. It is considered one of the most important maritime trade routes in the world and a large part of the global oil supply passes through this route. America alleges that Iran is trying to put pressure on merchant ships passing through this waterway. On the other hand, Iran says that America wants to establish strategic control by increasing its military presence in the region. These allegations and counter-allegations between the two countries have further increased the regional tension.

Rhetoric intensified between the two countries

Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament, said that if American troops take Iran’s warnings seriously then they should not delay in withdrawing from the region. At the same time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bagai accused America of trying to increase its influence on sea routes. In response, America said that Iran is trying to intimidate international merchant ships and spread instability in the region.

UAE appealed for peace

In view of the increasing tension in the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has appealed to all parties to exercise restraint. The UAE Foreign Ministry said that attacks on civilian targets and infrastructure are against international law and cannot be justified under any circumstances. Emphasizing on finding a solution through dialogue between the two countries, the UAE said that the ever-increasing military tension can become a serious challenge to the peace of the entire region and the global economy.
