Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, chairman of the UP T20 League, has announced that the league’s fourth season will be held from August 14th to September 6th, 2026. Notably, this fourth edition of the UP T20 League will be played in two different cities for the first time in history, further fueling the excitement among fans.
The UPT20 Season 4 will begin on August 14th at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. A special conversation with UPT20 League Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Kapoor.

Grand opening and cultural programs
This mega event to be held at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium will have a mix of sports as well as entertainment. Renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan and popular singer Jasmine Sandlas will give a scintillating performance during the opening ceremony. Around 300 artists will showcase their art in this show, which will prove to be a memorable evening in the history of Lucknow. The opening ceremony and the first 22 matches of the league stage will be played in Lucknow, while a total of 14 matches including the semi-finals and final will be held at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium.
Suresh Raina again becomes the face and prize money
Like the last three successful seasons, this time too former legendary Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been made the brand ambassador and face of the league. A huge prize money of Rs 3 crore will be distributed in this league, in which the winning team will be given Rs 1 crore and the runner-up team will be given Rs 60 lakh. Dr. Kapoor said that the new talent emerging from this platform later travels to IPL.
A unique initiative for environmental protection,
the league’s most distinctive feature is its commitment to the environment. Trees will be planted across Uttar Pradesh equal to the number of fours and sixes hit during the league. These trees will be planted in the six franchise cities as well as in other districts, and will be dedicated to parents, family members, and former cricketers.
