A funny incident happened at the Asian Games on Friday, seeing which the people present there could not stop laughing. The countries where this mistake happened also got angry. Organizers accidentally played North Korea's national anthem before the hockey match between South Korea and Bangladesh. Asian Games are being organized in Nagoya, Japan. There was such an uproar at the Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Kakamigahara that everyone was shocked.

 

The South Korean players standing on the field became confused when the North Korean national anthem started playing in the stadium. Some players stood at attention while others started looking here and there. Some stood quietly. In the stadium announcement it was described as the national anthem of the Republic of South Korea, but organizers later realized their mistake.

Organizers apologized, later played the correct national anthem

After realizing the mistake, the organizing committee first played the national anthem of Bangladesh, and then played the correct national anthem of South Korea. However, the match was already running behind schedule, so the referee instructed both teams to greet each other and start the match before the national anthem was completed.

 

 

 

This strange incident did not affect South Korea's play on the field. The team defeated Bangladesh 5–0 in its first 'Pool A' match, with 5 different players scoring the goals. South Korean news agency Yonhap described the incident as a strange mistake.

South Korean coach said – this is serious negligence

South Korea coach Min Tae-seok expressed strong displeasure over this incident. He said that when he objected to this, the organizers apologized and said that it was not a lack of preparation but a mistake on the part of the person responsible. The coach said that such a mistake should never have happened. An official of South Korea's Olympic Committee said that they are trying to gather correct information about this entire matter.

North and South Korea have been staunch enemies

South Korea and North Korea have been divided since the Korean War. Relations between the two countries still remain extremely sensitive. Both countries participate in international sporting events with different flags and national anthems.
