Prime Minister does not sit like a wet cat in front of Trump, Kejriwal cornered Modi after Georgia Meloni’s counterattack

New Delhi. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday responded sternly to US President Donald Trump. Meloni accused Trump of fabricating the story. Trump had said that Meloni had ‘begged’ to be photographed with him during the recent G7 summit. Meloni completely rejected Donald Trump’s words and said, ‘He should remember one thing, neither I nor Italy ever beg.’

Regarding this statement, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has launched a scathing attack on PM Narendra Modi at his post. Said that Prime Minister, this is how he answers Trump. Learn something. Don’t sit in front of him like a wet cat. Don’t get the country insulted.

Meloni termed Trump’s statements as a completely “fabricated story” and said that he is surprised and saddened to see that the President of America behaves like this with his own allies.

Meloni said without any hesitation that Trump’s statements were far from the facts. He said that this is not the first time this has happened, but it is extremely shameful. The Italian Prime Minister raised the question as to why the same firmness that Trump shows against his friendly countries is not shown towards the adversaries of Western countries and America’s rivals.

It is important to answer some things immediately: Meloni

Italy’s Prime Minister Meloni said in the beginning of her statement that some things require immediate answers. Donald Trump’s statements are completely fabricated and false. To be honest, I am extremely surprised and shocked.

In his statement, Meloni also indicated that Trump takes a relatively soft stance towards many global leaders whose policies are considered contrary to the interests of Western countries. He said that it is easy to put pressure on allies, but real leadership is seen in showing strength in front of opponents. However, he gave the strongest message at the end of his statement. Meloni said in clear words that they should remember one thing, Italy and I never beg.

Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that the serious and derogatory things said by President Trump against Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni are an insult not only to Meloni, but to the whole of Italy. Trump had claimed that the Italian Prime Minister had asked to be photographed with him.
