‘The punishment for washing the head is death’, the hardliners attack the Iranian leadership in agreement with America

After the death of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the power struggle in Iran’s political arena is now intense. This time the Iranian leadership is angry with the hardliners of the country because of reconciliation with America. Their slogan, “The punishment for washing the head is death.”

Tensions flared last week during religious ceremonies for Khamenei’s funeral in Tehran. As President Massoud Pezeshkian walked with Khamenei’s casket bearers, a group in the crowd chanted, ‘Death to those who compromise.’ Math Nowano’s punishment is nothing but death.’ Hardliners claim that sitting at the negotiating table with Washington means stifling the country’s revolution. The Iranian leadership has done just that. They also said that after the death of the supreme leader in the joint attack of Israel and America in Iran, the government has practically surrendered instead of retaliating. Signing the agreement with America is against the orders of the new Supreme Leader. Iranian leaders continue to rule in his name.

It should be noted that after breaking the peace agreement, Iran-America has once again engaged in a bloody conflict. Two US soldiers were killed in a missile-drone attack by Tehran on Saturday in Jordan. Washington started shelling Iran again to take revenge. According to an Iranian media report, the US strikes damaged areas near the southern port city of Sirik. In addition, the US forces also attacked near Hajiabad. Kesham Island was also attacked. However, no casualty has been reported so far in the whole incident. Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has threatened Washington in the attack and counter-attack. He said, “Iran and its allies will teach America a lesson. The signed MOU has been violated by Washington. President Donald Trump’s signature is worthless.”
