The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Is Out Now With Brutal Combat & Walker Hordes

Set in AMC’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman‘s zombie apocalypse comic, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is now available. For a story that relies on keeping quiet and avoiding the undead, The Walking Dead fits nicely into the arcade beat them up genre.

The game has launched on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. It is published by Trailmark Games. The game takes players through several familiar locations from the show. It reimagines the conflict between Alexandria’s survivors and the Saviors.

What can players expect from Streets of Survival’s brutal arcade combat?

The game’s setting is going to take players through some familiar locations from the show. These include Hilltop, Alexandria, and the Sanctuary. Players navigate environmental hazards and hordes of the undead. The game adapts recognizable elements from the show into a faster-paced, action-oriented experience.

Each character that is available for players to choose in the game comes with their own unique fighting style. Be it Daryl Dixon, Rick Grimes, or Michonne, each character brings something new to the player’s experience. Negan is also available as an unlockable character later in the game.

Combat allows players to use melee attacks, ranged attacks, and each character’s signature weapons. It combines melee combat and ranged attacks, allowing players to engage in combos and deliver finishers.

Players can mix and match characters, weapons, and combat abilities depending on the enemy type that they face. Along with walkers, hostile Saviors will be peppered among the enemies, forcing players to adapt to different threats and make use of their available weapons and abilities.

The game is designed for multiple playthroughs, allowing players to master each level of difficulty with the entire roster of characters. While the Standard Edition of the game offers the complete experience, the Deluxe Edition offers several other challenges.
