The war with Iran is weighing heavily on America! Expenditure exceeds Rs 3 lakh crore, political uproar increases amid death of soldiers

New Delhi: The ongoing war with Iran is proving increasingly costly for America. The increasing expenses of military action and the deaths of soldiers have increased the pressure on the American government. US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth told in the hearing of the Senate Appropriations Committee that till now America has spent 37.5 billion dollars (about Rs 3.61 lakh crore) on the military campaign against Iran. After this revelation, a new debate has started on the cost of the war and the government’s strategy.

Rising war expenses become a cause for concern

During the hearing, Pete Hegseth said that the war was constantly demanding resources and the Army needed additional budget to continue operations. According to him, the current expenditure is much higher than earlier estimates and may increase further.

He said that additional financial assistance is necessary to maintain strong national security. If funds are not received on time, the army may face difficulties in many important operations.

American soldiers are also suffering losses

The impact of the war is not limited to the economic front only. According to the Pentagon, three more American soldiers have died in the recent attacks. A total of 17 American soldiers have lost their lives since the beginning of July, while more than 100 soldiers have been injured. This has further increased the concern within America regarding war.

Opposition attack on government in Senate

During the Senate hearing, the Defense Minister had to face sharp questions and opposition from the opposition. Democratic MPs raised questions on the government’s war policy and said that America is once again getting entangled in a conflict whose end is not in sight at the moment.

Democrat member Patty Murray said that the government is continuously claiming that the agreement will be reached soon, but on the other hand more money is being demanded for the war. he it "another never ending war" relaxed me.

White House asked for additional funding

The Republican Party has supported a big budget proposal related to defense and national security. In this proposal, provision of additional funds has been made for war operations, security arrangements, agricultural assistance and other schemes. The White House has also appealed to the Senate to quickly approve this budget proposal without any changes, so that army operations are not affected.

Political pressure may increase

Political pressure on the Trump administration is also increasing amid continuously increasing military expenditure, deaths of soldiers and attacks from the opposition. If the war drags on, its impact can be clearly visible on America’s economy, defense budget and domestic politics.
