The whole world is on one side, India’s love on one side, Benjamin Netanyahu’s big statement
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has wholeheartedly appreciated the continuously deepening bilateral and strategic relations between India and Israel. Amidst the ongoing turmoil on global forums, Netanyahu has given a very emotional and strategic statement saying that compared to any other country in the world, he and Israel are getting the most, open and unwavering support from India. Addressing a high-level conference held in the West Bank on Thursday, Netanyahu mentioned the special importance of India in Israel’s global and military strategy and described the affection growing in the hearts of Indians towards Israel as ‘unbreakable’. ‘Trying to delegitimize us in the world, but crazy love for us in India’ While outlining the current situation of Israel across the world during the conference, Benjamin Netanyahu laid special emphasis on the fact that Israel is facing severe criticism and sanctions in many parts of the world, but the picture on Indian soil is exactly the opposite. The Israeli Prime Minister said in his address, "I would like to say this clearly to the whole world that today in most parts of the world, strong efforts are being made to delegitimize us. But this is not the case at all in India. There is a tremendous, unwavering and truly ‘crazy love’ for Israel in India. I am confident that from social media to ground level, I have more fans and followers in India than any other country or place in the world."
Relations between the two countries reached new heights after PM Modi’s visit to Israel. This big statement of Prime Minister Netanyahu has come at a time when the mutual relations between the two countries are going through the most golden phase in history. Netanyahu’s comments come a few months after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Israel in February 2026. During that very important bilateral meeting held in Jerusalem, both the senior leaders had officially announced to give a new dimension to India-Israel relations and take it to the highest level of ‘Special Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation and Prosperity’. Today, India and Israel have become each other’s biggest partners in future areas like defence, cutting-edge military trade, deep technology, cyber security, modern agriculture, energy and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Apart from this, both the countries are also working together on big projects in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum technology and digital healthcare. During his recent visit to Israel, PM Modi had strongly supported the ‘Gaza Peace Plan’ and laid special emphasis on restoring permanent peace and stability in this troubled region of West Asia as soon as possible. That historic tour of 2017, which became the ‘turning point’ of both the countries. Global affairs experts believe that the mutual chemistry and deep friendship of PM Narendra Modi and Benjamin Netanyahu is the main axis of the strongest political and strategic partnership between India and Israel (since the establishment of full diplomatic relations in 1992). In 2017, when PM Modi made his first visit to Israel, it proved to be the biggest ‘turning point’ in the history of relations between the two countries. He became the first Prime Minister of independent India to set foot on Israeli soil. That historic visit had given a clear and strong message to the world that New Delhi is now ready to completely leave behind the old diplomatic hesitations and move forward openly and proudly with Israel. Today, India stands at the forefront of Israel’s largest trading partners in the entire Asian continent. Apart from defense and cutting-edge military technology, both the countries are strategically moving forward shoulder to shoulder against the unholy alliance of countries like China and Pakistan on global and regional platforms like ‘India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor’ (IMEC) and ‘I2U2’ (India, Israel, US and UAE).
