There is a big threat to the Internet in these countries including India, Iran will attack the wires!, the report created a stir

New Delhi. The world’s internet connection may now be Iran’s target. It is reported that the Tasnim agency associated with the IRGC i.e. Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps has given such indications by releasing a map of the undersea internet cable in the Persian Gulf. However, nothing has been said officially regarding this. It is feared that it may affect India also.

A map of internet cables and cloud infrastructure has been released by Tasneem. Now this step is also being seen as a warning that a digital attack can now be carried out on the Persian Gulf. In this report published on Wednesday, the Strait of Hormuz has been specifically mentioned.

In the report, the strait has been described as an important route not only from energy point of view. In fact, it is also considered a very important corridor for the cables laid under the sea. These cables connect the Persian Gulf countries to internet and communication services. These include UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

It says that many large cable systems pass through this waterway. It has also been said that the Persian Gulf is more dependent on these sea routes than Iran. The special thing is that during the ongoing war, digital infrastructure had already come under target. In such a situation, this latest report has further intensified the fear of digital attack.

This maritime network passes through landing stations in countries like Oman, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. The special thing is that many of these countries are facing the heat of war. It is now being said that being the world’s largest data consumer, India’s digital economy is highly dependent on these connections. There are apprehensions that if any kind of problem occurs, the internet speed of millions of users may slow down. Also, cloud services and digital payment systems may be significantly affected.

The special thing is that before this, French government company Alcatel Submarine Networks has issued force majeure notice. The special thing is that this company itself is responsible for laying the cable. Force majeure means an extraordinary event that is beyond the control of a person or company, and due to that event it is unable to complete its work or contract.
