Prime Minister Modi’s tribute on the first anniversary of Pahalgam terrorist attack and India’s anti-terrorism role

Today is the first anniversary of the terrorist attack that took place on 22 April 2025 at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 innocent civilians would have died.

On the occasion of the death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the deceased and expressed condolences to their families. He said in a message on the social media platform Express that this tragedy can never go away and the entire country stands with the affected families.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Pahalgam attack in New Delhi, India again underlined its stand against terrorism. 26 innocent civilians who were killed or attacked on 22 April 2025 would have died, which would have shocked the country as well as the international community.

Prime Minister Modi has made it clear in his message that India will not bow down to any form of terrorism. He said, “We stand together as a nation in sorrow and determination. The nefarious designs of terrorists will never succeed.”

Pahalgam, known for its natural beauty and tourism, would have seen violence at that place or after the attack. Or the attacks would have targeted civilians. According to experts, such attacks are a serious challenge to global security and there is a need for a coordinated policy against them.
