Mumbai: Ajay Devgan's most awaited film 'Drishyam: The Conclusion' is going to be released in theaters tomorrow i.e. on 2nd October. There is tremendous craze among the audience regarding this film coming on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Even before the release, advance booking figures are showing that the film is going to make huge collections at the box office, after which the excitement among the fans has increased further.
Trade pundits believe that this third and last part of the film can earn up to Rs 50 crore net on the first day. The speed at which tickets are being sold makes it clear that the film is going to be one of the biggest openers of the year.
Second biggest opening of the year
Looking at the pace of advance booking, 'Drishyam 3' is going to be the second biggest Hindi opening of the year 2026. In this list it will be behind only 'Dhurandhar 2'. If the film crosses the Rs 50 crore mark, it will surpass the opening of big films like 'Mirzapur: The Movie' (28.11 crore) and 'Border 2' (32.10 crore).
More than 5 lakh tickets have been sold so far
Talking about the figures till 10 am on Thursday, the film had done a business of Rs 19.75 crore in the advance sale itself. For the opening day, more than 5.35 lakh tickets have been sold in more than 12 thousand shows across the country. According to trade website Sacknilk, including block seats, the film has collected a gross of Rs 36.25 crore from advance booking in India for the three-day weekend.
Tremendous craze even in foreign countries
The special thing is that the success of the film is being seen not only in India but also in foreign countries. More than Rs 3 crore has been earned from pre-sale for the opening day in the overseas market, while the advance gross collection of the weekend has crossed Rs 5 crore. It is expected that the global pre-sales will reach Rs 50 crore before the release, which is sure to make the weekend a blast.
Record of 'Drishyam 2' broken
The film's hold on the domestic box office has become quite strong. Even before the last day of booking ended, the gross collection of the opening day has reached close to 20 crores. Window booking is still pending, hence 50 crore net opening is considered confirmed. In this case, the film has broken all the records of advance booking of 'Drishyam 2'.
