Some Indian players staying on the much talked about Costa Serena cruise ship for the Asian Games are having to live with three players in a room meant for two people. Just two days before the opening ceremony, host players from Japan have faced similar problems regarding accommodation arrangements.
According to local media reports, some Japanese players are looking for alternative accommodation. There have also been cases where male and female players have been allotted shared rooms. Japan’s Deputy Mission Chief Hisashi Mizutori told the media here that there have been cases where coaches, team officials and players have been kept in the same room. In some cases rooms were allocated based only on numbers, such as giving five rooms of two to a group of five men and five women.
