‘There is no room for double standards on terrorism’, Top Rajnath reminds Pakistan of ‘Sindur’ at SCO meeting
There is no room for ambiguity on terrorism. Countries that harbor terrorists will not be spared. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh blasted Pakistan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting on Tuesday.
The SCO Defense Ministers meeting was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday. Rajnath was present there. Speaking on the day, he said, “We have shown our resolve through Operation Sindoor. The hotbeds of terror are no longer safe. Wherever the militants are, they will not be spared.” Referring to the Pahelgaon attack, Rajnath said, “This incident shook the entire society. Also, it highlighted the horrific nature of terrorism.” In his words, “Terrorism and extremism have become one of the major problems in the entire world.”
Without mentioning Pakistan directly, Rajnath emphasized the need for a coherent and uncompromising policy against terrorism, separatism and extremism. “We should not ignore state-sponsored cross-border terrorism. There is no room for ambiguity on this issue. Terrorism has no race or religion,” he said. Recalling the SCO’s Tianjin Declaration, Rajnath said, “This alliance must work without exception to combat terrorism. Act as a guardian of international norms.”
