There will be heavy rain in these districts of UP tonight! IMD’s yellow alert issued

The weather pattern is going to change completely in Uttar Pradesh from the night of 23rd July. According to the latest forecast released by the Meteorological Center (IMD), Lucknow, there is every possibility of heavy rain in many parts of the state from tonight. However, it is a matter of relief that the Meteorological Department has not issued any major warning in any district for the next day i.e. 24th July. Weather patterns will change in these districts from tonight

According to the Meteorological Department, from the night of July 23 to 8:30 am on July 24, there are chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Bundelkhand and some selected districts of Western Uttar Pradesh. During this period, ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued specifically for Agra, Firozabad, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba and Hamirpur districts. In all these areas, there has been a warning of heavy thunder and lightning at some places, while the weather will remain normal in other districts of the state.

Where will it rain on July 24 and where will it be clear?

According to the rainfall forecast of IMD, there may be sporadic rain in the northern, eastern and some southern districts of the state till the morning of July 24. These districts include Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Gonda, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, These include Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Ballia, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakoot, Chandauli and Sonbhadra.

On the contrary, there is no possibility of rain during this period in many districts of Central Uttar Pradesh like Unnao, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Jaunpur, including the capital Lucknow.

What is the weather condition after July 24?

The warning report of the Meteorological Department shows that no yellow, orange or red warning has been issued for the entire Uttar Pradesh from 8:30 am on July 24 to 8:30 am on July 25. All the districts of the state are currently kept in ‘Green Category’ (No Warning). However, in areas where light rain or local cloud movement may occur, people may see light showers.

Take these important precautions during rain and thunder

In view of the bad weather, the Meteorological Department has issued special advice for the general public. During thunderstorms, do not stand near open fields, big trees and electric poles. During lightning, take shelter inside a solid and safe house. Be very careful while driving due to slippery roads and low visibility. Apart from this, farmers have been advised to keep a constant eye on weather updates and completely avoid working in the fields during lightning.
