There will be no LPG crisis in the country! Modi government's big action plan ready, know how much it will affect your pocket

Along with the daily rates of petrol, diesel and LPG, some big and important updates have come out today, which are very important for you to know. Whether the Strait of Hormuz remains closed or open in the international market, there will be no crisis of LPG in India. For the first time in the country, Modi government has prepared a big action plan to deal with the LPG crisis. Under this plan, 21 companies of the country will together produce 63,810 tonnes of LPG daily. Apart from this, the windfall tax on petrol and diesel has also been reduced.

Will the prices of LPG cylinders reduce immediately?

This big step of the government does not immediately mean that the prices of LPG cylinders are going to suddenly reduce. The main objective of this scheme is to ensure security of supply in the country. This means that if there is a shortage of LPG in the international market in the future or there is any interruption in imports, the government will have a ready-made framework to immediately increase domestic production.

This will ensure uninterrupted availability of LPG in the country and common consumers will be protected from sudden supply shortages. However, how much direct impact this will have on the price of domestic LPG cylinder will depend on the prices of LPG in the international market, import cost and the pricing policy of the government.

West Asia crisis taught self-reliance

The ongoing crisis in West Asia has made it clear to India that being completely dependent on imports for daily energy needs like LPG can be a big risk. This new production structure of the government is an attempt to eliminate or reduce this risk. This clearly means that the government no longer wants to depend only on the strategy of buying and importing LPG from outside, but is strengthening the ability to increase production within the country in times of any crisis.

Know what are today's LPG rates in your city?
