Tezzbuzz Desk – There is a debate these days regarding India's national song 'Vande Mataram' and national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana'. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the statement of Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore. Kangana said that she agrees with some things of Sharmila Tagore, but is also surprised by her thoughts.
While sharing Sharmila Tagore's video on social media, Kangana said that the national anthem or national song should not be viewed from a religious perspective.
'How can Vande Mataram be limited to any religion?'
Kangana said that she admires Sharmila Tagore's thoughts on Vande Mataram, but is surprised to see her limited thinking about art and poetry as an artist.
He said that a poet expands his imagination and its effect is visible in the poem. According to Kangana, Vande Mataram is an expression of the struggles of freedom fighter and writer Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, in which an attempt has been made to introduce man to his inner strength.
Kangana raised the question that how such great poetry can be limited to any particular religion.
Example of Swami Vivekananda's thoughts
Kangana also mentioned the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda in her statement. He said that when Vivekananda talked about strong body and youthful power, he was not talking about the condition of the weather, but about the youthful power and potential of the country.
Kangana further appealed to the people and said, 'Get out of Hindu-Muslim ideology.' He also talked about mutual brotherhood and embracing each other.
What did Sharmila Tagore say?
Sharmila Tagore had expressed her opinion regarding Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana in a recent interview. He had said that people following different religions live in India and everyone may have different religious beliefs.
According to him, gods and goddesses are mentioned in some verses of Vande Mataram. In such a situation, it may be difficult for people who believe in one God to accept those lines.
Sharmila Tagore had said that if all the religions of the country have to be taken along, then it might be better to give priority to the first two verses of Vande Mataram.
Now after Kangana Ranaut's reaction, the opinion of two famous Bollywood actresses has also become a topic of discussion in the ongoing debate regarding Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana.
