According to media reports, this series may be released on Amazon Prime Video by mid-2027.
What is special in the first season of Farzi?
If we talk about the first season of Farzi, there is a very amazing artist, who is trying to save the printing press of his grandfather’s (Amol Palekar) revolutionary newspaper ‘Kranti Patrika’ from debt. When legal methods don’t work, Sunny decides to put his skills to good use.
Sunny, along with his childhood friend Firoz (Bhuvan Arora), prepares such a counterfeit currency that even the machines that check genuine notes are unable to detect it. They call it ‘art’.
International fake currency kingpin Mansoor Dalal gets wind of these super-notes made by Sunny. Mansoor kidnaps Sunny and Firoz and puts them to work printing and supplying fake notes on a large scale in India for his big syndicate.
On the other hand, a special task force is formed to break this entire nexus, which is led by an outspoken and eccentric officer Michael Vedanayagam. Michael’s only objective is to destroy Mansoor Dalal’s network and save India’s economy.
At the end of the story, Sunny’s maternal grandfather dies, due to which Sunny is completely broken and in the fire of revenge, Mansoor destroys the entire network of the broker. In the last scene, Sunny burns Mansoor Dalal’s entire stock of fake notes to ashes in front of him and runs away from there.
