This Bengal cricketer has got bail after about 36 days. According to the report, Chuchuda court has granted bail to Abhishek. Let us tell you, Porel was arrested on August 11 after a complaint lodged by a medical student from Karnataka.
The student had made serious allegations
Actually, a medical student from Karnataka had accused Abhishek Porel that the cricketer was in a relationship with her for about three and a half years and promised her marriage. The student alleged in her complaint that during their relationship, she had gone on a foreign trip with the cricketer, but later Porel refused to marry her, due to which she had to approach the police.

The case was registered in Mogra police station
Let us tell you, on June 23 this year, a medical student from Karnataka had filed a complaint against Abhishek Porel at Mogra police station. A case was registered against cricket under sections 69, 311, 318 of the Indian Judicial Code along with sections 66, 72 of the IT Act. According to reports, there was a dispute between the two even before the case was registered against Porel. However, the matter had not reached the police at that time.
High Court had given orders for arrest
After filing the complaint at Mogra police station, the victim had approached the Kolkata High Court, after which the court ordered the police to arrest Abhishek Porel as soon as possible. Apart from the allegations of rape, the cricketer is also accused of criminal intimidation and other crimes.

23 year old Indian wicketkeeper batsman Abhishek Porel plays for Bengal in domestic cricket. Till now he has scored 1408 runs in 50 innings of 32 first class matches. He has scored 833 runs in 21 innings played in List A cricket, while he has scored 1590 runs in 59 innings of T20 cricket. Porel made his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals in the year 2023.
