DelhiAlthough it is not known when which record will be made, but the two-Test series between India and Sri Lanka is becoming an opportunity for the batsmen of Team India to create many new records and achieve special achievements. The might of India's batting line-up is not hidden from anyone. While playing Test in Sri Lanka, special attention will be kept on these few records:

1. Record of sixes: Rishabh Pant needs 3 sixes to complete 100 sixes in Test cricket and he will be the fourth player to make this record. The other three are Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum and Adam Gilchrist. In this way, he will become the first Indian to make this record. In this series, Yashasvi Jaiswal needs 5 sixes to complete 50 sixes in Test and he will be the third Indian opener to achieve this milestone after Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma.
2.World Test Championship Records: If Rishabh Pant scores 220 runs, he will become the first wicketkeeper-batsman to score 3000 runs in the championship. With this, he will also become the first Indian batsman to score 3000 runs in the championship. On the other hand, if Shubman Gill scores 157 runs, he will complete 3000 runs in the championship and thus there is a race between Pant and Shubman to become the first Indian in the record of 3000 runs. Yashasvi will also be mentioned in this list, who needs 187 runs and will become the highest run-scorer among Indian openers in the championship.
3. Wicketkeeper-batsman records: Rishabh Pant has two records in this category. If he scores a century in the Test, he will become the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a Test century in Sri Lanka and this century will take him to number 2 in the list of most 'away' Test centuries by any wicketkeeper-batsman with 7 centuries and only Adam Gilchrist (10) will be above him.
4. Individual run record: Shubman Gill is very close to completing 3000 Test runs and for this he needs 31 runs. Similarly, KL Rahul needs 170 runs to complete 10000 international runs.
5. Individual Test century record: If KL Rahul scores two Test centuries, he will become only the second Asian opener to score 10 Test centuries outside India. Incidentally, even before him, this record was in the name of an Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar.
However, a record that is a challenge for all the batsmen of this Team India is that till now only two Indian batsmen have scored a double century in Sri Lanka: Virender Sehwag in Galle in 2008 and Sachin Tendulkar in Colombo in 2010. Will someone make this list longer this time?
Yashasvi Jaiswal can create the most unique record. He has not yet turned 25 and if he scores a Test century in Sri Lanka, he will equal Sachin Tendulkar's record of scoring Test centuries in 5 different countries under the age of 25.
6.Yashaswi Jaiswal's unique venue record: Yashasvi Jaiswal has never played in Sri Lanka before in his 29 Test career. This means that they will play Tests for the first time at both Galle and SSC Colombo venues. A unique record will be created that he will become the player to play all his 31 Tests at different venues and in this context, he will come closer to the record of Sanjay Manjrekar (33) and Sachin Tendulkar (32) of playing most Tests at different venues by any cricketer since his debut and will be a contender to go ahead of them and create a new record.

7. Captain-batsman's century record: Till now, the Indian team has played under the captaincy of 7 captains in Test matches in Sri Lanka and out of these, only two Indian captains have scored a Test century: Sachin Tendulkar in 1997 (143 and 139) and Virat Kohli (103 in 2015 and 103* in 2017). Shubhman Gill has a chance to join this special list with a century.
