Toyota will be launching a facelifted version of the Innova Hycross in India soon. The Japanese car manufacturer has already started testing it, and we have also seen multiple test mule images of the MPV online. The test vehicle has been spotted in different parts of the country, and recently, we came across a new set of spy shots that give us a glimpse of the interior of the upcoming Innova Hycross facelift.
The images have been shared by Team-BHP on its website. In the images, we see the exterior of the MPV, along with a video that gives us a glimpse of the cabin. The cabin of the test mule in the video looks similar to the current version. We see a dark-themed cabin with fabric upholstery, while the overall layout seems to be the same.
Although the changes are not clearly visible, we expect the cabin of the MPV to receive minor updates. We expect to see a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated 360-degree camera, connected car technology, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable seats, ventilated front seats and possibly even ventilated rear seats. Higher variants are also expected to continue offering ADAS features. The cabin’s colour theme could also be changed or updated to give it a more upmarket feel.
It is clear from the images that the Innova Hycross will be getting a heavily revised front fascia. The MPV-like front end is expected to be replaced with a much more upright and SUV-like design. We expect the front end to look somewhat inspired by the recently launched Hilux.
The headlamps on the test mule appear sleeker than those on the current model. It is possible that the overall design might remain similar, but the internal LED elements could be revised as part of the facelift. The grille looks somewhat similar to what we have seen on the newly launched Hilux. The bumper is also expected to be redesigned, and we could see LED projector fog lamps integrated into the bumper along with a faux skid plate.
The side profile of the MPV looks more or less the same as the current version. The alloy wheel design appears to be the same, but we assume that the production version might get a different design. There is a shark-fin antenna and a panoramic sunroof on the roof, and we can also see an integrated roof spoiler.
At the rear, Toyota is expected to retain the overall design of the current version. The tail lamps could look the same from the outside, but the LED elements may be arranged differently for a fresh look. The rear bumper is also expected to receive minor tweaks, along with a faux skid plate.
Toyota will continue to offer the Innova Hycross with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 173 PS and 204 Nm of torque and is paired with a CVT gearbox.
The strong-hybrid version combines the 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a combined output of around 184 PS and is paired with an e-CVT transmission. Toyota is expected to launch the Innova Hycross facelift by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
