Tragic accident due to collapse of under construction wall in Jaipur: Two laborers died after being buried under debris, rescue continues

Jaipur. A major accident occurred in Jaipur, Rajasthan on Monday. The wall of Aravali resort under construction in Talamod, located in Chandwaji police station area, suddenly collapsed, due to which many laborers working there got buried under the debris. Two laborers are reported dead in the accident, while four laborers are injured. The injured laborers have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, some other injured were discharged after first aid.

After receiving information about the accident, the civil defense team along with the police and administration reached the spot. An immediate rescue operation was started to rescue the laborers trapped in the debris and the injured were taken out. It is being told that construction work was going on in the basement and during this time the wall suddenly collapsed. During this time, two laborers lost their lives after being hit by debris. The administration is investigating the cause of the accident. It is also being investigated whether safety standards were followed during the construction work or not.

District Collector Sandesh Nayak said that till now the death of two people has been confirmed. There is a possibility that some more people may be buried under the debris. A team of infrared cameras has also been called to the spot to search for them. Administrative officials including SDM Rajendra and Tehsildar Saurabh Gurjar are present at the spot and are continuously monitoring the relief and rescue operations.
