Washington. US President Donald Trump called Google CEO Sundar Pichai a 'monster' after the AI meeting held at the White House. However, Trump's gesture was not towards insult but towards Pichai's impressive identity and success in the technical field. Pichai also responded to this comment in a light-hearted manner by smiling.
On Tuesday, Trump held a meeting with many leaders of the AI and technology world at the White House. Apart from Pichai, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and executives of other major technology companies participated in it. While talking to reporters after the meeting, Trump pointed towards Pichai and called him a 'monster'.
Trump said- 'This person is a monster'
While introducing Pichai to the journalists, Trump said that these people are big tech leaders of the world and very few people know about Pichai. After this, he pointed towards Pichai and called him a 'monster' and said that he is living a wonderful life without facing the media daily.
Trump's statement referred to Pichai's technological achievements and influence. In American parlance, calling a person a 'monster' in his or her field is also used as a form of praise for extraordinary ability or influence.
Pichai smiled at this comment and said that hopefully a better tagline could have been 'I am a monster'. After his answer, a light atmosphere was created among the people present there.

Tech companies made voluntary agreement on AI
The main issue of the meeting between Trump and the heads of tech companies was the security and monitoring of advanced AI technology. After the meeting, major tech companies signed a voluntary agreement for the development of AI. In this, companies have agreed to take steps like strengthening internal controls, conducting independent external audits and reviewing risks at the board level.
The agreement is not legally binding. Trump called it a 'moral binding' agreement and said that AI companies will have to monitor their own technology.
Trump directs to call AI 'super intelligence'
The Trump administration has also moved towards using the term 'super intelligence' instead of 'artificial intelligence' in government contexts. Trump says that the capabilities of current AI technology have gone far beyond the old concept of traditional 'Artificial Intelligence'.
Trump also said that he is not in favor of stopping the development of AI. He says that America should maintain its lead in this technical field. Along with this, he stressed on the companies themselves to take responsibility for security and monitoring.
Pichai said – agreement reached on super intelligence
After the meeting, Sundar Pichai said that it was an important conversation and they have signed the 'White House Accord on Super Intelligence'. He said that Google is investing extensively in the AI field and will continue to work on developing products that are useful for people and businesses.
This agreement emphasizes measures such as identification of risks, internal controls and independent review during the development and use of AI systems by companies.
