Sitarganj-/Nanakmatta. Under the Seva Sankalp campaign, a multi-purpose camp 'People's Government, People's Door' was organized on Wednesday at Gurunanak Inter College Nanakmatta in the Nanakmatta assembly constituency. In the camp, villagers and local people of the area lodged complaints and problems related to various basic problems including electricity, water, roads, ration cards etc. A total of 54 complaints and problems were registered, out of which 51 were resolved on the spot in the presence of officials. Instructions were given to the concerned departments for speedy resolution of the remaining complaints.
In the camp, citizens of Ex-Servicemen Committee, Ward No. 4, including Roop Singh and Kausa Devi etc. demanded removal of electric poles and fixing of increased electricity bills. Listening to the problems of the villagers, the concerned departmental officers assured to take necessary action. Village head Gidhaur placed a demand for repairing the primary school. Village head Nalai put the problem of irrigation drain construction before the officials.
Village head Haraiya and Dhyanpur demanded that ration cards be made for the eligible people by conducting a survey of the eligible families deprived of ration cards. The officials instructed the concerned departments to solve the problems of the eligible people as per the rules. During the camp, benefits of government schemes were also made available to the villagers by various departments. The Social Welfare Department distributed 15 motorized tricycles, 10 wheelchairs, 20 walkers, 20 chairs with commode and one vision impaired kit to the disabled people. Apart from this, applications for three widow pensions and four old age pensions were filled.
A check of Rs 1.42 lakh was provided by the Agriculture Department for the Super Seeder machine. 10 soil health cards were distributed to the farmers and forms related to Kisan Samman Nidhi of 15 farmers were filled. Child Development Department provided Mahalakshmi kit to a beneficiary. At the same time, 10 lakhpati didis associated with women self-help groups were honored.
The Animal Husbandry Department distributed free medicines to 30 cattle herders who reached the camp. The health department team conducted health check-up of 120 people. Blood tests of 15 people were done, while 32 children were vaccinated. Apart from this, health checkup of 10 pregnant women was also done.
Ayurveda department conducted health checkup of 125 people and distributed free medicines. The homeopathic department conducted health check-up of 59 people and gave them free medicines. The Labor Department issued labor cards of six workers. The Horticulture Department provided seeds to 10 gardeners. The Employment Department gave information to 10 people about departmental schemes and employment related schemes.
Aadhaar related services were also provided in the camp. During this period, two new Aadhar cards were created and 16 Aadhar cards were updated. Along with giving information about the schemes to the villagers at the stalls of various departments, efforts were made to provide the benefits of the schemes to the eligible beneficiaries on the spot.
Municipality President Prem Singh Turna, former MLA Dr. Prem Singh Rana, BJP State Vice President Shripal Rana, District Panchayat member Bhaskar Sambhal, Nodal Officer and District Development Officer Gopal Giri Goswami, District Social Welfare Officer Aman Anirudh, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. VK Singh, district level officers of various departments, village heads and other public representatives were present in the camp. The officials appealed to the villagers to take advantage of government schemes and present their problems before the concerned department.
