While speaking to reporters, US President Donald Trump said that he does not want to take lives and therefore he is ready to talk to Iran once again at the request of the allies. He said that the talks will take place on Monday afternoon. Trump said that we were ready to attack and this time the attack would have been the biggest attack since World War II, but Iran asked us not to do so. He further said that Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Iran have asked us to do so. He has indicated that along with the deal on the Strait of Hormuz, there will also be a deal on the nuclear issue.
On his decision to stop the attack on Iran, US President Donald Trump said, “I don’t want to kill people because people are dying. We don’t want that. I asked the King and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. I said, do you want us to do this or not? They said, we would prefer a deal. Because you don’t know where these attacks can go. I mean, it would be a big problem. A lot of bad things could happen.”
US President Donald Trump said, “This was going to be a big attack. It would have been the biggest attack since World War II, but they (Iran) asked us not to do it. They said, ‘Please don’t do it.’ Their neighbors said the same thing.” He continued, “Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Iran asked us to do it. We were fully prepared; it would have been a big attack. But when the allies ask us to postpone it, you have to think, ‘Let’s see.’ And the reason they say that is because they believe that a deal can be made. A deal can be made on Hormuz, and then a deal can be made on the nuclear issue.”
