Turkish military planes are landing in Pakistan air base, what is Islamabad planning?

In the last 60 hours, unusual movement of Turkish military aircraft has been noticed at two air bases in Pakistan. According to the intelligence report, several Turkish C-130 Hercules transport aircraft traveled to Pakistan between August 19 and 21. The planes were destined for Noor Khan base near Rawalpindi and Masroor base in Karachi. The intelligence is claiming that the Turkish aircraft's movement pattern at the two bases is unusual. It is feared that Türkiye is supplying a large amount of weapons to Pakistan.

Pakistan already has a military agreement with Turkey. Recently, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye signed the Makkah Defense Treaty. It is in this situation that intelligence estimates, Pakistan is bringing a large amount of drones and military equipment in these cargo military aircraft. According to sources, apart from the drone equipment, Pakistan may also have received the HQ series air defense system. One of the drones that Turkey has supplied to Pakistan in the past few years is the 'Bayraktar TB2', a medium-altitude long-range drone. The drone came into international discussion after its use against Russia in the Ukraine war.

Diplomatic circles claim that Pakistan has greatly increased its military activities after being defeated by India in Operation Sindoor. Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Munir signed agreements with one country after another to increase their arsenal. Since Operation Sindoor, Türkiye has become one of Pakistan's major arms suppliers. After signing defense deals with Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, Pakistan is scrambling to replenish its arsenal.
