Twisha Sharma case: CBI can take charge on Tuesday, SIT’s case diary ready; The scene was recreated by Samarth

Twisha Sharma Death Investigation Transfer To CBI: The much-discussed case of Twisha Sharma’s death under suspicious circumstances is now set to go from the state police to the CBI. After the initial investigation, post-mortem report and serious allegations made by the family members, on Monday, the SIT of Bhopal Police prepared a case diary throughout the day by organizing the documents related to the case, statements of witnesses, medical reports and digital evidence.

Amidst the process which lasted till late night, information came to light that the CBI team from Delhi has reached Bhopal and can formally take over the investigation of the case on Tuesday.

Police got the scene recreation done

At around 8 pm on Monday night, SIT reached the house of accused husband Samarth Singh in Bagmugalia Extension in Katara Hills. Here the police got the spot verification of the entire case done and crime scene recreation. On the basis of the statements given during interrogation, Samarth was asked to repeat the incident. A media report quoting police sources is claiming that Samarth told that he had reached the terrace while searching for Twisha, from where he brought down the body with the help of his cousin brother and servant. After this an attempt was made to give him CPR on the stairs. The police investigated the entire incident closely for about half an hour.

Former judge Giribala Singh was also interrogated

On the intervening night of Sunday-Monday, the SIT went to the house and interrogated Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh. Questions were raised on circumstances after marriage, family disputes and relationships. Now the agency is matching the statements with technical and circumstantial evidence. It is being told that the first phase of inquiry has been completed. If necessary, the second phase of inquiry will also be conducted.

Hearing regarding anticipatory bail of Giribala Singh is on 27th May

Hearing was held in Jabalpur High Court on Monday on two petitions filed for cancellation of anticipatory bail of retired judge Giribala Singh granted by Bhopal District Court. Time was sought from the party to file its reply. On this, the single bench of Justice Devnarayan fixed the next hearing on May 27 at 2:30 pm and directed to submit the reply.
