UAE Rail Network: New train station started in Abu Dhabi, now travel between cities will be done in minutes, know the complete schedule
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has inaugurated the MBZ City Passenger Train Station. With this new beginning, the picture of the passenger rail network connecting different cities of UAE has become clear. This rail service will completely change the way people travel in the future and will significantly reduce the distance between cities.

When will the train service start?
This rail network will be started in different phases so that everything works properly. First of all, trains will start running between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah on 30 June 2026. After this, the entire network will be launched on 30 September 2026, which will also include Dubai and Al Dhaid stations.
How much time will be left in the journey?
The biggest advantage of this rail network will be its speed. The journey between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah will now be completed in about 1 hour 45 minutes. At the same time, the high-speed train running between Abu Dhabi and Dubai will run at a speed of 350 km per hour, due to which the journey will be completed in just 30 minutes.
Train features and fares
This rail network will be a total of 900 km long and will connect 11 cities and areas of UAE. There will be a total of 13 trains and 400 passengers will be able to travel in one train. For the convenience of passengers, it will have three types of classes: First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. Trains will have Wi-Fi, charging points and excellent air conditioning facilities.
- Rent: Comfort class fares from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah will start from 55 dirhams and premium class fares will start from 120 dirhams.
- Connectivity: The stations will be connected to local buses, taxis and Dubai Metro so that passengers do not face any problem.
- Security: Railway tracks have been kept completely separate from roads so that the journey remains safe.

Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that this project is a major investment to enhance the progress and connectivity of UAE. It is part of the ‘Projects of the 50’ initiative. At the same time, Etihad Rail Chairman Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan called it a major milestone for the transport sector. Azza Al Suwaidi, Deputy CEO of Etihad Rail, assured that this service will start with full quality and safety by 2026.
