UFC Fight Night Paris Results: Salahdine Parnasse Destroys Dan Hooker In Debut, Axel Sola Scores First-Round KO

Salahdine Parnasse made a statement on his UFC debut, stopping Dan Hooker with a first-round liver kick at UFC Fight Night Paris on Saturday. The Frenchman needed just 2:35 to finish the New Zealander in front of a packed crowd at the Accor Arena and immediately put the lightweight division on notice.

Parnasse, a former KSW champion who entered the UFC with a reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous fighters, delivered exactly the kind of debut he had promised. After the emphatic victory, the 24-year-old declared himself “the best fighter in the world” and revealed that he is already targeting a fight with Max Holloway or another top-five lightweight.

Axel Sola Scores Huge First-Round Knockout

The co-main event delivered another explosive finish as Axel Sola knocked out fellow Frenchman Fares Ziam with a left hook just 1:40 into the opening round.

Sola caught Ziam clean with the punch, sending him unconscious and bringing an immediate stoppage from the referee. The victory moved Sola to 13-1-1 in MMA and gave the home crowd another spectacular finish.

Michael Page also picked up a unanimous decision over Nursulton Ruziboev, with all three judges scoring the middleweight contest 29-28. It was Page’s final fight on his UFC contract and improved his promotional record to 6-1.

Daniil Donchenko continued his impressive run by defeating Punahele Soriano by unanimous decision, winning 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28. The Ukrainian has now extended his winning streak to eight fights.
