Haryana News: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off the Youth Marathon organized against drug addiction in Rewari. During this, he addressed the youth participating in the marathon and described the importance of youth’s participation in the campaign against drugs.
The Chief Minister said that he is extremely happy to be among the energetic youth. The enthusiasm of thousands of youth is proof that Rewari has resolved to fight a decisive battle against drugs.
Every step is a strong attack against drugs
CM Saini said that whether it is a 5 kilometer ‘Run for All’ or a challenging 10 kilometer race, every step of the youth participating in these is a strong attack against drugs. He said that the message of this marathon is clear – ‘Nashe se Jang, Rewari ke Sang’. The Chief Minister said that this race will be such a journey of public awareness, whose echo will be heard in the entire Haryana.
Emphasis on treatment and rehabilitation
The Chief Minister said that his government has linked drug addiction with the pain of the families of Haryana and the future of the youth. A strong system has been prepared at all four levels: action against drug addiction, awareness, treatment and rehabilitation.
A special task force has been formed for effective action against drug smugglers. Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau has also been established in the state, he said that the government is moving forward strongly on the Action Plan 2029 with the resolve of drug-free Haryana.
160 drug de-addiction centers opened
CM Saini said that 160 de-addiction centers have been opened in the state for the rehabilitation of the victims. Mission teams have been formed for drug de-addiction and rehabilitation from village and ward level to state level. He informed that Haryana Uday community public awareness program is being run in the state. A total of 2,485 programs have been organized so far, in which 16 lakh 61 thousand people have participated.
Education-employment opportunities will increase for youth
The Chief Minister said that the government has also increased opportunities for education, sports, skills, employment and self-employment before the youth. He appealed to the youth to actively participate in the ‘Drug Free Youth, Drug Free Haryana’ campaign in their areas.
The Chief Minister said that this resolution taken from Rewari should echo in the entire state – ‘Neither will we take drugs, nor will we allow drugs to be sold.’
