Uncontrolled truck overturned in Araria, Bihar, broke highway railing, driver saved his life by jumping

Patna: A major road accident was almost averted on National Highway-327E in Jokihat police station area of ​​Araria district of Bihar on Saturday. Let us tell you that near Panali Chowk, the speeding truck suddenly went out of control and collided with the roadside railing and overturned. The truck was going towards Araria

According to the police, the truck was going from Kishanganj towards Araria. As soon as the vehicle reached Panali Chowk, the driver allegedly fell asleep. Due to this, the truck lost its balance and moved ahead, breaking the safety railing installed on the roadside. It is being told that the truck damaged the railing for about 50 meters, after which it overturned.

According to the people present at the spot, during the accident, the driver showed wisdom and jumped out of the truck, which saved his life. The truck has been extensively damaged in the accident, but no other person has been injured or any loss of life has been reported.

Traffic affected after the incident

After the accident, traffic on the national highway was disrupted for some time. Due to the truck overturning on the road, there was a long queue of vehicles. According to the information, as soon as the information was received, Jokihat police station reached the spot and started controlling the traffic with the help of local people. Along with this, the process of removing the accident truck was also started, so that the traffic can be normalized as soon as possible.

The accident happened due to the driver falling asleep

Jokihat police station in-charge Rajeev Kumar Jha said that initial investigation revealed the possibility of the accident occurring due to sleepiness of the driver. However, all aspects of the accident are being investigated. Police say that necessary legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed. After this incident, the police has appealed to the drivers driving long distances to avoid driving if they feel tired or sleepy and to continue the journey only after taking rest at a safe place.
