UP: 7.5 crore youth will get employment, know what is Yogi government's SVPEIZ scheme

Keeping in mind the upcoming 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government is going to take a very big step to empower the youth of the state. Preparations have been completed to launch 'Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Development Scheme' (SVPEIZ) to connect approximately 7.5 crore Gen-Z (Generation G) youth of the state with excellent employment and self-employment opportunities.

Along with this ambitious plan, more than 19 important proposals can be approved in the important meeting of Yogi Cabinet to be held on Tuesday. The official agenda of this meeting was released by Chief Secretary SP Goyal late on Monday night at around 10:30 pm. It is believed that in this meeting many major and policy decisions related to employment, industry, transport, expressways, police administration and public service centers will be taken.

Government's direct focus on 7.5 crore Gen-Z youth

Gen-Z youth constitute about 28 to 30 percent of the total estimated population of Uttar Pradesh. This youth group is being considered the most decisive in the 2027 election contest. The government's strategy is to bring more and more youth under the ambit of new schemes by creating comprehensive means of employment and self-employment. The ruling party is already running 'Yuva Samvad' campaign with the aim of strengthening its reach among the youth. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself had instructed party officials to maintain constant contact and communication with new voters in the age group of 18 to 25 years.

New electric buses worth Rs 400 crore will be purchased

With the aim of making the transport service more modern and environment friendly, the Cabinet meeting may approve the purchase of new electric buses at a cost of Rs 400 crore for the Transport Department. These buses will be included in the fleet of Uttar Pradesh Transport. Along with this, a proposal related to purchase of 1,323 new vehicles in place of old and scrapped vehicles present in various district units of UP Police will also be presented for approval.

Relief to general public: 'Jan Seva Kendra 4.0' project will start soon

Along with new rules for the smooth operation of public service centers in the state, there is every possibility of the 'Public Service Center 4.0' project getting the green signal from the cabinet. It is worth noting that the stipulated period of Jan Seva Kendra 3 has ended on 30 June 2026. With the implementation of this new phase, common citizens will get a lot of convenience and speed in making basic and necessary documents like income, caste, residence certificate.

Major decisions on expressway expansion and industrial development

The main agenda of the cabinet includes important proposals related to construction of Jhansi Link Expressway, extension of Ganga Expressway beyond Meerut to Haridwar and establishment of Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster in Sultanpur district. To speed up these projects, a budget proposal of more than Rs 272.25 crore is likely to be approved. Apart from this, the cabinet can also approve important issues like new government assistance policy to attract basic investment in private hospitals, various proposals related to foreign investment, Chief Minister Handloom Weaver Samriddhi Yojana and necessary amendments in police recruitment rules.
